SERVICES

CHURCH THAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD

Let’s put it this way--we’re not your momma’s church. We take the Bible seriously, not literally. Sure, there will be a message but we work hard to relate scripture to the cultural and political issues happening in today’s world and in your life.

We like to keep it fluid and organic. The message will relate to
what’s going on in the world and in your life right now. Topics are always timely...

and nothing is off limits. We don’t confine our message to what’s comfortable--we
challenge you to push your self discovery and awareness of how to use

your strengths in the world.

Oh and we love music, so you’ll definitely experience it during a worship service.

We alternate different styles of worship each week, ranging from using traditional hymns to more contemporary music, and even specially themed Sundays (eg, 90's music).  We encourage a more family-centric service style with a more active atmosphere.

We celebrate Worship every Sunday at 10:30a and follow  with a

fellowship time of coffee, snacks and great company.

Because of participation levels, we have moved to just one service (10:30a) each Sunday.  The service styles will alternate each week - from a more traditional format (as we sing both old and new songs, presented in a variety of ways – from classical to jazz to keep things interesting, adding special choir, Bells of Peace, Choir Ensembles and individual music offerings) to other styles of worship with more contemporary music and even themed music Sundays (eg, 90's).

We want to make worshiping fun and meaningful for all ages, which includes changing the layout of how we worship!

CELEBRATING CHILDREN
IN WORSHIP

We’re all about kids at Peace Church. We believe that children should be an active part of our worship services. We have a special table set up front on the right side of the sanctuary with activities for busy hands. This space also provides families a good view of the service and music to get involved in worship together.  We encourage you to sit up close and talk about what is happening and how it affects you personally. If you have questions about any particular section of service, just ask us!

We do provide a Wiggle Room* (nursery) for the wee ones, which is not staffed, for those who wish to step out of the worship service.

CELEBRATING COMMUNION AT

PEACE CHURCH

Communion is served the first Sunday of each month at our services. All are welcome to partake in the bread and cup at Christ's table. Gluten-free communion bread is available as well as grape juice for those who prefer it to wine.

SCRIPTURE

Micah 6:8

"God has told you, O mortal,

what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do

justice, and to love kindness, and to

walk humbly with your God?"

Matthew 22:36-40

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

because he has anointed me to bring

good news to the poor. He has sent

me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to

the blind, to let the oppressed go

free, to proclaim the year

of the Lord’s favor.”
