PATHWAYS

WHAT IS PATHWAYS?

Pathways is a weekly gathering for you and other members of the Peace United community to learn, create, and grow together.

The goal of Pathways is to improve ourselves and our community. Our vision is to create an inter-generational community committed to social justice and radical hospitality. As our Pathways program and community grows, we will expand the offerings beyond Sunday mornings! Plans are in the works to begin additional programming in January 2024.

WHO IS WELCOME AT PATHWAYS?

People ages 3+ are invited to Pathways, Sundays from 9:30a - 10:15a at Peace.
Children in grades 2-4 will receive student Bibles on Sunday, September 10.

WHAT WILL I LEARN AT PATHWAYS?

GROUPS

From September 10-October 8, we will explore the theme What are we made of? We will learn more about the traditions, stories, nourishment, and goodness that help make us who we are.
Other themes we will explore this year include creating a “Bigger Table” and the Underground Railroad.

September 10: Traditions
Work on a multigenerational team to uncover artifacts. Discover their use in ancient times and explore why they are still relevant today!

September 17: Stories
Share stories with one another, and discuss what they mean to us. How does language impact storytelling? How do stories make us better people?

September 24: Food
Give back to the community by helping people who cannot secure food easily for themselves. Donate food, pack care packages, and feel the positive effects of making a difference in someone else's life.

October 1: Water
Fill your cup and uncover truths about water, the water cycle, and water conservation.

October 8: Goodness
The Golden Rule. The Ten Commandments. The Book of Law. What helps make us good people? How can we improve ourselves? Can we improve others? Find out how goodness can be found all around us.
