Traditional
Worship
8:30am Sunday mornings
Peace United Church of Christ offers two different styles of worship to fit your spiritual needs. The Traditional Service at 8:30 am is filled with traditional hymns accompanied on the organ, beautiful music provided by our voice choirs (adult and children) or bell choir, special prayers for our world and community (with an opportunity to lift up your own special prayer request), and sharing of the liturgy through scripture, the morning message, and a special time focused with children in mind. Although bulletins are provided, the order of service (including prayers, responses, and words to songs) is projected on a large multimedia screen.Child care is available in the Nursery, Room 118, for infants and children (birth to two years old). However, we encourage parents to attend worship with their children.
We feel that the presence of children in worship stems from our belief that children are members of the Christian community even before they are able to read or understand the service. It is our desire that families will worship together and use available opportunities to discuss the Scripture lesson, worship experiences, and their involvement in the Christian community as they go about their daily lives.
Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to partake of the bread and cup at Christ’s table.
