Contemporary Worship

11:00am Sunday mornings

Peace United Church of Christ offers two different styles of worship to fit your spiritual needs.  The Contemporary Service at 11:00 am provides individuals to praise God through the non-traditional hymn-type music, connect with God through prayer, learn about God through scripture and sermon, and experience creative ways of connecting what we learn and how we live through the use of multimedia.  The contemporary Christian music is led by the One Voice Praise Team and accompanied by the One Voice Praise Band.

We encourage members to experience the Spirit no matter how they look or what they wear. There is a time for special prayers for our world and community (with an opportunity to lift up your own special prayer request), and a special time focused with children in mind.  The entire order of worship is projected on a large multimedia screen. Child care is available in the Nursery, Room 118, for infants and children (birth to two years old).  However, we encourage parents to attend worship with their children.

We feel that the presence of children in worship stems from our belief that children are members of the Christian community even before they are able to read or understand the service.  It is our desire that families will worship together and use available opportunities to discuss the Scripture lesson, worship experiences, and their involvement in the Christian community as they go about their daily lives.

Communion is served the first Sunday of each month.  All are welcome to partake of the bread and cup at Christ’s table.
