Choir of Peace is for individuals in high-school through adult and directed by Richard Dahlin. The Choir of Peace is an exceptional choir with many talented people, and we are always actively looking to increase the size of our group. No formal audition is required, nor is it necessary to read music to join – only a love for singing. The Choir of Peace serves as the church’s principal choral choir during the 8:30 am Sunday Service from September through mid June. Each Fall, the choir performs at the annual Interfaith Hospitality Network Community Choir Concert. Rehearsals begin in September and are held on Tuesdays, 7:00 – 8:00 pm. For those that are not able to make the Tuesday-night rehearsals, additional rehearsals are held at 8:00 am on the Sunday mornings when they perform.
Bells of Peace is for anyone in 9th grade through adult and is directed by Julianne Dahlin. This choir plays a three-octave set of English hand bells. There is always room for additional ringers. It is helpful if you are familiar with reading music. The bell choir participates in worship from September through mid June, and prepares special music for Christmas and Palm Sunday/Easter. Rehearsals begin in September and are held on Tuesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
Peace Instrumental Ensemble (PIE) is a ‘fun’ church band for high-school through adult members. This band, directed by Richard Dahlin, is for anyone who plays any kind of instrument. If you no longer have an instrument, arrangements can be made to borrow one. The band participates in worship about 2 to 3 times a year and rehearsals are schedule according to their performances.
Adult Solo/Ensembles is those who wish to share their musical talents during our worship services. If you have an interest in sharing your gift, please contact Richard Dahlin, Sara Schliep, or Pastor Paul.
